PRODUCT MANAGER (MAC / MRI)

The Product Manager maintains and develops the product line in order to achieve profit oriented growth, increase market share and secure the future of the product.

Your Tasks

  • Monitors the market (trends, competition, technologies, standards, organizations, VOC, research, etc.) and develops product strategy and roadmap based on all data gleaned from market assessment
  • Works with the Sales organization to understand market requirements, support territories and develop deep understanding of key account customer relationships
  • Manages product life cycle (PLC) to include new and modified product designs, product pruning, product improvements, product change notifications (PCN), end of life (EOL), etc.     
  • Maintains margin and creates strategy and tools for pricing to include price rules, special pricing, LTAs, etc.
  • Assists Sales in closing sales of new products, new to customer, new to market and new to channel; actively engage all shareholders to drive new business, also reviewing CRM to ensure information is accurate and updated
  • Assists Business Development Managers and contributes to market assessments, including assisting with the execution of strategic plans for market/product and the rollout to Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers
  • Creates and implements a 'toolbox' for Sales and Applications Center so that pertinent information is readily available, current and accurate, which includes updating resource folders and portfolios
  • Collaborates with Headquarters and other locations for a corporate alignment of the Product Management strategies; communicates on regular basis to ensure updates are shared and resources are allocated
  • Utilizes standard operating procedures (SOP’s) per company policies, and drives improvement of processes, systems and tools in order to improve efficiency of the organization
  • Partners with purchasing and warehouse to evaluate inventory and strategy to support market needs, including Engineering and Operations recommendations, kitting, stock levels, sampling and lead-time improvement for standard product   
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team in the development of marketing strategy, including product launch, collateral, tradeshow, lead generation and communications
  • Creates and builds partnerships that benefit sales and operations (i.e. distributors, suppliers, VAD, standard organizations, research, think tanks, etc.)
  • Visits customers and develops a working relationship with decision makers at key accounts and target markets
  • Acts in the capacity of product expert, champion and visionary, creating trainings for the organization to share knowledge and expertise
  • Identifies opportunities with manufacturing for cost reduction and quality improvement as needed
  • Other related duties as required and/or assigned

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience required
  • Prior experience in a Product Management or relatable role required, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry
  • 4+ years of connecter experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and navigating other systems (CRM, ERP, etc.) required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with customers, external partners and internal teams
  • Solid analytical skills and strategic agility to support tactical business evaluation  
  • Able to adapt and function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment
